Welcome to the Fire and Ecological Restoration Lab

Research conducted in this lab broadly focuses on ecosystem changes resulting from alterations in natural disturbance processes (e.g., fire), human mediated factors (e.g., habitat modification), and climatic change. We also study ecosystem response to restorations treatments by examining species recruitment and distribution patterns, resource pulses, and changes in related environmental factors at various spatial and temporal scales. Our study systems are typically fire-dependent natural communities, including forests, prairies/grasslands, and wetlands
We are open to exploring new but related areas of research that may result from collaborative projects or from graduate student research interests.
